Trip Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Lagos, Nigeria

Evening arrival in Lagos. Hotel check-in and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Lagos City Tour

Discover Lagos with visits to the Nike Art Gallery, Lekki Conservation Centre, and the stilt community of Makoko. Overnight in Lagos.

Day 3 – Lagos to Porto-Novo & Ouidah, Benin

Visit the Badagry Slave Museum, then cross into Benin Republic. Explore Porto-Novo and its Black River Adjarra, experience basket-weaving traditions, and stop at the Amazon Statue and Artisan Promotion Centre in Cotonou. Overnight in Ouidah.

Day 4 – Ouidah & Abomey

Tour Ouidah’s Python Temple, the Sacred Forest of Kpassè, and take a boat ride to Ganvié stilt village. Continue to Abomey to explore the Royal Palaces of Dahomey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight in Abomey.

Day 5 – Abomey to Natitingou

Head north to meet the Taneka tribes, visit the Taneka Beri Cave, the sacred village of Dankoli, Kota Waterfalls, and the Natitingou Museum. Overnight in Natitingou.

Day 6 – Northern Togo (Koutammakou & Sokodé)

Cross into Togo to explore Koutammakou, home to the UNESCO-listed Batammariba villages with their iconic mud tower houses. Continue to Sokodé for the famous Fire Dance. Overnight in Sokodé.

Day 7 – Sokodé to Lomé via Kpalimé

Stop at the lush Kpalimé waterfalls, then continue to Lomé to experience the Akodessawa Fetish Market and Grand Marché. Overnight in Lomé.

Day 8 – Lomé to Accra, Ghana

Cross into Ghana, arriving in Accra. Evening free to explore Osu Night Market and Oxford Street. Overnight in Accra.

Day 9 – Accra City Tour

Visit Black Star Square, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, the W.E.B. Du Bois Centre, the Accra National Museum, and the historic district of Jamestown. Overnight in Accra.

Day 10 – Cape Coast & Elmina

Tour Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle, both central to the slave trade history. Explore Kakum National Park and its rainforest canopy walkway. Overnight in Cape Coast.

Day 11 – Ghana to Ivory Coast (Grand-Bassam)

Travel to Côte d’Ivoire, arriving in Grand-Bassam, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight stay.

Day 12 – Grand-Bassam & Abidjan City Tour

Discover colonial Grand-Bassam, then continue to Abidjan to see the Cathedral of Abidjan, La Pyramide, the Museum of Civilization, and the Banco Forest Reserve. Overnight in Abidjan.

Day 13 – Yamoussoukro

Travel inland to Yamoussoukro to visit the monumental Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, the Presidential Palace, and the crocodile pond. Overnight in Yamoussoukro.

Day 14 – Abidjan Departure

Return to Abidjan for last-minute shopping or leisure before transfer to the airport for departure.
